The Vel Tech Entrance Examination is designed for individuals aspiring to enroll in various Ph.D. programs, offered in both Full-time and Part-time modes.
The exam for the July 2025 session is scheduled to be held on May 24th, 2025, conducted through a remote proctor computer-based test (Online). This test spans 2 hours and comprises multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct response earns one mark, with no deductions for incorrect answers.
The Ph.D. question paper encompasses 50 MCQs, divided equally between Technical (25 questions) and Research Methodology (25 questions). To qualify for the interview, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance exam. The examination is exclusively conducted in English, with 70% of the weightage assigned to the entrance exam and the remaining 30% to interview performance.
